Springs Restoration and Protection

Recently Funded Projects

The District is committed to protecting and restoring springs in northwest Florida. Projects have been developed to restore and protect spring habitats; to enhance compatible public access; and to assess, protect, and improve water quality within the groundwater contribution areas of major spring systems. Demonstrating a continued commitment to springs restoration and protection, the District, local governments, and partners in northwest Florida have committed more than $115 million to springs projects since 2013, including more than $81 million in state funding.
