Overview

Located approximately 10 miles south of Vernon and accessed off Highway 79, Live Oak Landing features a single, concrete ramp that has a very steep drop-off into the deep water at the end of the ramp. Because of the drop-off, the ramp is best suited for launching canoes and kayaks.

The recreation area features a grill, portable toilet, and parking for up to 10 vehicles.

A small pier to the left of the boat ramp is ideal for fishing.

Live Oak Landing is a stop on the Holmes Creek Paddling Trail – a popular paddling destination thanks to 57 documented springs on the creek.

Live Oak Landing is approximately 10 miles downstream from Hightower Landing, making that stretch an ideal paddling excursion for those seeking a full day on the water.
