Located approximately 14 miles northwest of Youngstown, Walsingham Park Recreation Area is one of the most popular put-in spots for canoeing and kayaking Econfina Creek.
The most direct route to Walsingham Park is via Porter Pond Road, which is slightly west of the bridge at State Road 20 where it crosses Econfina Creek. Once on Porter Pond Road, travelers will see signage with arrows and mileage at each key intersection to help locate the recreation area.
Walsingham Park is located approximately 6 miles north of State Road 20.
Walsingham Park marks the beginning of an 11-mile stretch of the creek that features as many as 11 springs or spring groups and as many as 39 spring vents.
Under normal conditions, the paddling trip south of Walsingham Park is considered easy but varying water levels can make it a more challenging exercise.
In addition to the small, paved canoe/kayak launch, Walsingham Park features a primitive camping and picnic area, ideal for experiencing mid-creek flora and fauna.
The park also has a picnic pavilion, pedestal grill, fire ring, and portable toilet. Day use is allowed from sunrise to sunset.

No ATV’s allowed.
Motorized vehicles allowed on designated roads only.
Alcoholic beverages prohibited.
No jumping or diving into the creek – shallow water and hidden dangers may be present.
Please stay off the streambank restoration area downstream of the retaining wall.
Day use is allowed from dawn to dusk.
